Chicago-bred, LA-based MC and 2-time Grammy-Award winning songwriter (Beyonce, Honey Dijon) Dave Giles II provides vocals alongside the funk-laden, soulful arrangements of New York DJ and producer (Kelela, Dawn Richard) Sam O.B to create Diasporic dance music as Dave + Sam. They have performed at the Essence Festival and Defected Croatia and worked extensively with UK-based Defected Records — including their acclaimed debut album No Shade (2021) and remixes by dance producers such as Derrick Carter, Nick Sylvester, and Harry Romero.
